I´ve been trying to found a decent solution to post photos in this web, without success, until now. I tested some php galleries but none of them was well integrated with Wordpress. So, I started tinkering with Flickr and a nice Flash-based plugin that, after some failed versions, started to work properly in all the browsers I´ve tested it in (Opera, Safari, Explorer and Firefox). The outcome can be seen here or clicking onto the navigation bar option. I also added a Flickr Wordpress widget to see the latest 6 photos in one of the main page´s sidebars. One thing that I like the most is the ability to link to the Flickr page where the photo is saved and view it in different sizes, download them if you like it (as seen here), and leave comments as well (only for registered Flickr members).
Right now, there are only a bunch of photos, but I´m uploading as much as I can. And, for those who miss the banners that ornated the last theme, I´ll include them too! Please enjoy…
I´ve decided to restart the irregular publishing scheme. Until today, I used to write posts on 10 and 25th days of the month, but I have increased the frequency to tell the progress in my new ventures. On the technical side, I have modified somehow the web design, to ease the access to older posts, recent comments, most read stories and so on, without touching the look and feel. The photolog is been overhauled also, and I expect to have the new version up and running soon. Last but not least, there is the original spanish version of this site, which can be found here. Of course, this is a continuous improving process, so more changes are on the way… but, in the meanwhile, please enjoy your stay!
Finally, I got this right. Since a long time ago, I wanted to have an english version of this web, for my non-spanish speaking friends and the people that might be interested in my humble opinions. The general idea is to have the same content in both pages (english and spanish) with a small “lag” between them. (I usually write first in spanish, so the english version normally will follow shortly). Please enjoy. Comments, suggestions and assorted rants are always (!) welcome.
